Leaving home with so much uncertainty of the unknown, ISSP has been a safe haven. My journey in UW can not be described without this initiative. Thank you for setting the pace!
I found family in Seattle through this initiative! Thank you ISSP!❤
A great initiative started by wonderful people. Meeting Ifunanya and Hiwot in this program helped me adjust and feel at home ❤☺!
Thanks to this initiative, I have a home away from home. I am excited to see more international students benefit from ISSP.
Great initiative! I am a beneficiary of this amazing program. Through this program, I joined a community that was HOME throughout my stay in Seattle. Thank you ISSP. ❤
I am a beneficiary of this initiative and I’m so grateful for the support of these mazing people
$1.01 trillion maphite
It’s very striking that you’re not in that position but you’re redirecting the real issue to fix your own narrative stop please poverty has nothing to do with how people misuse and abuse you
It kills me how the narratives be spent. What the hell does her income status got to do with the misuse of her cells not a damn thing
Thanks for sharing & uploading Environmental health history!

hi classmates na but-an
Dr. Maté I moved from Florida being seen by a psychiatrist at the Veterans Administration in 1999 when they treated with medication I needed. Oxycotin, ritalin, benzos and a few non narcotics. Then I moved to Costa Rica. They treated me with what I needed and tolerated and I felt good. So, covid came along and I was sent back to the USA. Thinking I would be treated by the Veterans Administration like in 1999, but the exact opposite happened an I was arbitrarily detoxed cold turkey. I want to keep this brief but the Veterans Administration put me in a unit with so called psychiatrists that wouldn't even look at my history and said, "this is a non tolerance to any meds called narcotics". So I stayed there for fear, because I had no option to get back to Costa Rica because of the pandemic. So, apparently, I had a seizure or stroke, but my 20 year old son got me back to Costa Rica. In the USA, the country I served, is full of psychiatrists who could care less. Hypothetical system that boasts that they "put the vet 1st". I have been sick since the usa experience in that almost killed me. I don't want to sue for malpractice but I wish I never went home to be judged by so called professionals at the Veterans Administration. I can't live in the USA because they don't have a clue.
I hate white people for what injustice they do on the people that are the chosen decent.
This is very informative
Wow!! Good to know!! Makes me want to return to the USA.
This seems kind of pointless. Everyone has different abilities. If we use all of our resources to make abilities equal, would it potentially be so costly that the group equity goes down. If we stick with the metaphor, if an apple is worth 20 cents, should we spend 50 cents per person to build a box for 99% of the people?
the sound is not good I am quite disappointed
If we only had more people like Gabor in the world who are so open about their own flaws, imperfections and vulnerabilities we'd have much more compassion for everyone in the world, even the people who seem to be "outsiders".
Respect, dignity and being truly understood is what any human being DESERVE . NO MATTER WHAT. Meeting another exactly where they are at.
Exactly. The problem is just that people like to put other people down so they feel better about themselves. Not realizing that we have the potential to be just like them. Or should I go one step further and say that we ARE just like them. We're just using other methods for compensation. Or maybe were among the lucky ones to have had a childhood where we could just be ourselves.

I just listen to Mr Arthur Killeman 2012 Graduation Speech. What a uplifting, very intelligence Doctor, God Bless America. Now for the bad news it 2018, and I am really sorry to say something went very wrong, I am unable to get my serious health issues found fixed to the best and go on with my life. Four years later, I still have major pain, chronic nausea and kidney problems. The last surgeon, which I just seen a week ago toke affect by my coming onto his office with my problems. I never in all my year had a physician treat me with less than acceptable actions, language and total distress. All I was doing was to find out why and this was the return. He was unable to help me and I left feeling much worst than before I had entered and waited with hope for answers, never hsppen. To this day I still need to find out what is going on, but must find a new surgion Thank you for your time. Sarah Browning Boise, Idaho. 83616

I have just become a certified instructor in Enhanced Fitness and am eagerly looking forward to becoming actively involved helping the future participants that I will be assisting in improving their quality of lives. Knowing first hand of the positive impact that teaching Zumba Gold (for five years now which is geared to a lower temp and intensity than regular paced Zumba) to a varied demographic (conditions, ages, sizes etc...), the Enhanced Fitness program offers the under conditioned individual an opportunity to stay active without personally feeling embarrassed, fear, or competition. Some of the benefits beside the quantitative, and qualitative results are the sense of empowerment, socialization, development of freedom of movement, mental clarity, coordination, lessens the effects of arthritis, and provides a means to deal with the fear of falling. Staying ACTIVE as we grower older whether it is just walking, swimming or any other appropriate program or activity is a key testament for most active older adults.
Great inspiration.
